After years in a Big Four accounting firm and multinational companies, our founder, Yivon Yau, wanted to build a different kind of working life while preparing to start a family.
She established Yau & Co. as a small accounting practice focused on practical support for entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses—the kind of people who, like her, were building something of their own.
That philosophy remains today. We do not pursue growth simply for the sake of becoming bigger. We prefer to remain focused, build useful systems, publish practical knowledge and provide professional judgment when it genuinely adds value.

Yivon began her career with KPMG, before moving into senior finance roles with Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia and VF Brands Malaysia, where she served as Financial Controller.
She was later Managing Partner at 3E Accounting PLT, before founding Yau & Co. in 2016 to work more directly with Malaysian entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses.
